I selected Nearpod to teach a lesson on personal pronouns and antecedents. I have heard from many teachers who have used it with great success in both their in-person and virtual classes. I like how Nearpod incorporates visual, instructional materials with interactive activities for students to complete. It functions as a tool for instruction, practice, and assessment (pre/post). Students receive immediate feedback on their responses, and teachers receive real-time reports on students’ progress. Nearpod serves as a replacement for other forms of instruction; it amplifies the efficiency of the lesson; and it transforms “boring” material into real-world and authentic experiences.
